Lt. Col. William Weaver
Lt. Col. William G. Weaver was born in Gadsden, Ala. He commissioned as a Transportation Corps 2nd lieutenant in August 2002 after graduating from Jacksonville State University, Jacksonville, Ala.
In his most recent assignment, Weaver served for 2 years as a NATO logistics OC/T at the NATO Joint Warfare Center located in Stavanger, Norway. In this role, Weaver served as the primary trainer and observer controller on major NATO command post exercises during the execution of multi-national, operational and strategic level collective training events and exercises in the NATO area of operation.
Weaver has served in both command and operational assignments, including duties as a Cargo Transfer Company Platoon Leader in the 10th Transportation BN, 7th TBX, JBLE and Kuwait/Iraq; Air Trans Officer for the G4, Eighth United States Army, Yongsan Garrison, Korea; Commander, 360th Transportation Company, 68th CSSB, 43rd Sustainment Brigade, Fort Carson and Afghanistan; Support Operations Officer, 526 Brigade Support BN, 2nd BDE (STRIKE), 101st Infantry Division (AASLT), Fort Campbell and Afghanistan; Division Transportation Officer, Headquarters, 101st Infantry Division (AASLT), Fort Campbell and Liberia; Ground Forces Branch Chief, Current Operations Branch U/C/J33, United States Forces Korea, Yongsan Garrison, Korea.
Weaver holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Media Communications from Jacksonville State University and a Master’s of Science Degree in Project Management from the Florida Institute of Technology. His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (1 Oak Leaf Cluster), Defense Meritorious Service Medal (2 Oak Leaf Cluster), Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Meritorious Service Medal (2 Oak Leaf Cluster), Meritorious Unit Commendation, Army Commendation Medal (2 Oak Leaf Cluster), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (2 Oak Leaf Cluster), Parachutist Badge and Air Assault Badge.
