For Newcomers

Welcome to West Point!
Soldier In‑Processing:
All incoming Soldiers must sign in with their gaining unit before beginning installation in‑processing. After signing in, Soldiers will report to the Military Personnel Division (MPD), 622 Swift Road, to receive the official Installation In‑Processing Checklist and attend the daily 1000 briefing. MPD is closed from 0800–1300 on the first and third Thursday of each month. Soldiers must bring PCS orders (with amendments, if applicable) and their PCS absence request.
Military Personnel Division (MPD):
MPD is the only organization authorized to issue the Installation In‑Processing Checklist. Housing and Finance cannot process newly arrived Soldiers without the MPD‑issued checklist. Soldiers arriving after duty hours must sign in with their unit and report to MPD the next duty day.
