Col. Travis E. Robison

Colonel Travis E. Robison is originally from Ambler, Pennsylvania. He graduated as an Army ROTC Distinguished Military Graduate from the University of Colorado and commissioned as a Field Artillery Officer in 1999. Colonel Robison began his career in 4^th Battalion, 27^th Field Artillery, 2^nd Brigade, 1^st Armored Division in Baumholder, Germany where he served as an Infantry Company Fire Support Officer, Armor Company Fire Support Officer during OPERATION JOINT GUARDIAN in Kosovo, and as a M109A6 Platoon Leader in Charlie Battery. After attending the Captain’s Career Course, Colonel Robison served as an Operations Officer on Combat Support Coordination Team #1 supporting the First Republic of Korea Army in Wonju, South Korea.

Following Korea, Colonel Robison left the Army and worked for three years in the US Fish & Wildlife Service as a Federal Wildlife Officer. In 2007, Colonel Robison volunteered to return to active duty and deployed to Iraq in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM where he served on Military Transition Team 0421. After returning from Iraq, he served as Operations Officer and Company Commander in 2^nd Battalion, 46^th Infantry (Basic Combat Training) at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Colonel Robison then served as Battery Commander of Bravo Battery, 1^st Battalion, 6^th Field Artillery, 3^rd Brigade, 1^st Infantry Division and deployed to Afghanistan in support of OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM.

After returning from Afghanistan, Colonel Robison assumed command of the Rear Detachment, 1^st Battalion, 6^th Field Artillery, then became the Executive Officer of 2^nd Battalion, 307^th Field Artillery, 57^th Infantry Brigade, 1^st Army East. He continued to serve in key staff positions as the Executive Officer of 3^rd Battalion, 320^th Field Artillery Regiment, 3^rd Brigade, 101^st Airborne Division and Deputy Commander of the 101^st Division Artillery at Fort Campbell Kentucky. Colonel Robison commanded 2^nd Battalion, 11^th Field Artillery, 2^nd Brigade, 25^th Infantry Division in Hawaii. He then served on the Training and Doctrine Command Commander’s Planning Group as a strategist and Special Assistant to the Commanding General. His most recent assignment was on the Joint Staff, serving as the Taiwan Branch Chief in the J5 Strategy, Plans, and Policy Deputy Directorate for Asia.

His education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Colorado, a Master of Public Administration from the University of Montana, a Master of Operational Art and Science from the Air Command and Staff College, and a Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
