Command Sgt. Major Taylor A. Cathey
Command Sergeant Major Taylor A. Cathey was born in Kalispell, MT and enlisted in the active Army in 2005. She completed Basic Combat Training in Fort Jackson, SC in November 2005 and completed Parachute Rigger (92R) Advanced Individual Training in Fort Lee, VA in September 2006.
Command Sergeant Major Cathey’s military assignments include the 600th Quartermaster Company, the 612th Quartermaster Company, and the United States Army Airborne and Special Operations Test Directorate in Fort Bragg, NC, the Aerial Delivery and Field Services Department, Fort Lee, VA, the United States Army Advanced Airborne School and 647th Quartermaster Company in Fort Bragg, NC, the 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne), Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA, the 204th Quartermaster Detachment, Fort Bragg, NC, Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division in Fort Liberty, NC, and United States Army Garrison – West Point in West Point, NY.

Command Sergeant Major Cathey’s civilian education consists of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Campbell University and an Associate’s Degree in General Studies from Central Texas College. Command Sergeant Major Cathey is married to Sergeant First Class (Retired) Andrew Flickinger of Fort Dodge, IA; together they have a daughter, Rylee.
