The Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (Family and MWR) welcomes you to beautiful Okinawa. Located in Yomitan Village and overlooking the East China Sea, Torii Station is the Army’s home on Okinawa.  We have a variety of recreational activities for Soldiers, Families, Civilians, and Retirees including the gem of our post: a ¼ mile of pristine beach front which makes it perfect for many activities including swimming, snorkeling, stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, camping, and more.  Torii Beach’s Outdoor Recreation Office has rent-able gear including BBQ grills, picnic pavilions, and Torii Scuba Locker is a full-service dive facility offering everything from dive certification to a retail shop stocked with all the latest gear.  Torii Station also features a well-equipped Auto Skills Center, Arts & Crafts Center, a recently remodeled Gym and Fitness Center, a library, as well as a several dining establishments including the signature club, Havana’s, CJ’s Sunset Grill, and a café, Pirate Republic Coffee Company.

Army Community Service (ACS) is a human services organization that is your one-stop shop for all resources on Okinawa. The programs and services offered are designed to maintain readiness, enhance quality of life, promote resilience and self-reliance, and provide stability during war and peace.
School Support Services (SSS) provides Army school-aged youth with educational opportunities and information necessary to achieve academic success. At SSS, School Liaison Officers (SLOs) help deliver educational resources and information for your child. We specialize in K-12 education transitions, ensure incoming and exiting families have information about local schools, graduation requirements, after-school services/programs, youth sponsorship, and home schooling. We help parents better understand the education process and school organization.
