PCSing with Pets
If you brought your pet with you to Japan, some of the requirements will already be completed, however you still need to follow the procedures that do apply and advance preparation is always beneficial.
When importing pets that you adopted in Japan to the US, it is crucial to follow the import regulations set by the CDC and the USDA. These regulations include obtaining a health certificate, ensuring your pet is microchipped, and meeting specific health and safety standards.

Every Military Installation has varying levels of capabilities to serve Exceptional Family Members. With this in mind you will be required to complete an updated screening. The gaining Installation will make the determination of their capability to serve any Exceptional Family Members.
