Maj. Gen. Kevin F. Meisler assumed command of the 88th Readiness Division, headquartered at Fort McCoy, Wis. on July 11, 2026, where he is also serves as the senior commander  of U.S. Army Garrison Fort McCoy.

The Middletown, N.J. native graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from LaSalle University in Philadelphia and commissioned into the U.S. Army as an Armor Officer in 1994. He transitioned to the U.S. Army Reserve in 1999.

Maj. Gen. Meisler’s most recent position was as Chief of Staff and Assistant Deputy Commanding General for Reserve Affairs, U.S. Army Materiel Command; He has commanded at all levels to include Commanding General, 311th Signal Command (Theater) in Fort Shafter, Hawaii; Commanding General, 4th Expeditionary Sustainment Command in JBSA Fort Sam Houston, Texas; Group Commander, 211th Regional Support Group in Corpus Christi, Texas; Battalion Commander, 257th Transportation Battalion (Movement Control) in Gainesville, Fla., and Bagram, Afghanistan; Battalion Commander, 2d Battalion, 485th Regiment in Orlando, Fla.; Company Commander, A Company, 2d Battalion, 485th Regiment in Jacksonville, Fla.; and Commander, HHD, 5th Brigade (Health Services), 108th Division (Institutional Training) in Jacksonville, Fla.

Maj. Gen. Meisler has deployed to multiple locations to include Afghanistan, Turkey, and Kuwait, and mobilized to Fort Sam Houston, Texas to conduct COVID logistics operations and Fort Jackson, S.C. for training base expansion.  

Maj. Gen. Meisler is a member of the Transportation Corps Regimental Association and was awarded the Ancient Order of Saint Christopher. 

He has also been awarded the General Brehon B. Somervell Medal of Excellence by the U.S. Army Combined Arms Support Command for excellence in multifunctional logistical support and demonstration of his commitment to duty in the logistics field. 

Maj. Gen. Meisler has a Master of Art in Management from Webster University; St. Louis, Mo., and a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College; Carlisle, Penn. 

He is an Army Logistician with Joint Planner and Operational Contract Support skill identifiers and a Certified Project Management Professional.
