Lt. Col. John N. Nestor 

Lieutenant Colonel John N. Nestor hails from of Middlefield, Ohio. In 2002, he was commission as active duty Ordnance officer through ROTC at Norwich University. He holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Business Management from Norwich University.

His military education includes the Ordnance Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, Joint Logistics Course, Joint Planners Course, United States Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC), Army Inspector General Course, and the Reserve Component National Security Course.

LTC Nestor has held multiple leadership and staff positions as a Regular Army Soldier, Troop Program Unit Reserve Soldier, and as an Active Guard Reserve Soldier. Those positions include logistics S4, 5th Battalion 7th Air Defense Artillery (Patriot), Hanau, Germany; Materiel Manager, 19th Support Center, 3rd  Corps Support Command, Wiesbaden, Germany; Commander, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3rd Battalion 312th Regiment, Fort Meade, MD; Deputy J4, Joint Elimination Coordination Element, USSTRATCOM, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD; Materiel Manager, Army Reserve Sustainment Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD; Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff, G4, 91st Training Division, Fort Hunter Liggett, CA; Chief of Investigations, Office of Inspector General, U.S. Army Reserve Command, Fort Bragg, NC. Most recently he served as Chief of Operations, 143rd Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), Orlando, FL.

He has served in a variety of theaters including has two combat deployments in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM.

LTC Nestor’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (4 awards), Army Commendation Medal (2 awards), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Citation, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Reserve Components Overseas Training Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Medal Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, and Korea Service Medal. LTC Nestor wears the Basic Parachutist Badge and is a member of the Ordnance Order of Samuel Sharpe.

LTC Nestor is married to his college sweetheart and Army Veteran, Courtney, of North Kingstown, RI.  The couple has five children.
