Command Sergeant Major David J. Fimbres
CSM Fimbres hails from Bakersfield, CA, and is married with two children. He enlisted in the United States Army Reserve in 2003 and completed Basic Combat Training at Fort Benning, GA. He attended the Basic Military Police Course at Fort Leonard Wood, MO, earning the primary MOS of Military Police (31B). In 2015, he earned the secondary MOS of Corrections and Detention Specialist (31E).
Command Sergeant Major David J. Fimbres recently completed an assignment at the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy as a resident instructor for the Department of Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental, and Multi-National Operations. His previous assignment was serving as the Brigade Operations SGM for the 11th Military Police Brigade, Freeport, IL.
CSM Fimbres has served in every enlisted position from Team Leader, Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, Operations NCO, and First Sergeant. His previous assignments include Military Police Soldier, 422nd MP CO, Bakersfield, CA; Team and Squad Leader, 422nd MP CO, Bakersfield, CA; Platoon Sergeant, 2nd MP BDE, Fort Snelling, MN; Operations NCO, 96th MP BN, San Diego, CA; First Sergeant, HHC, 96 MP BN, San Diego, CA; Military Police Planner, USAREUR AREC and USAREUR G34, Wiesbaden, DE; Operations Sergeant Major, 744th MP BN, Easton, PA; Operations Sergeant Major, 11th MP BDE, Los Alamitos, CA; and SGM-A Resident Instructor, Fort Bliss, TX. CSM Fimbres deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn.
His military education includes all levels of the Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development System, Sergeant Major Course (DL Class 47). He is also a graduate of Master Fitness Trainer Course, Conventional Physical Security and Crime Prevention Course, Antiterrorism Basic and Advanced Courses, Equal Opportunity Leader Course, Common Faculty Development Instructor Course, Training Plan Developer Course, USAR Budget Manager Course, and Police Transition Team Certification Course.
