The Sustainable Range Awareness (SRA) program educates Soldiers and other land users about Fort Hunter Liggett's training environment and what their responsibilities are in order to comply with various environmental laws, regulations and policies.
SRA is a proactive means of reducing the potential for inflicting avoidable impacts on range and training land assets, and improving understanding of land use constraints. This is accomplished through the development and distribution of educational materials to range and training land users.
Fort Hunter Liggett's SRA program provides the following: Soldier field cards, sensitive resource pamphlets and brochures, playing cards, videos and environmental awareness briefings to units upon request. Posters are also developed and displayed throughout the installation.
