JBLM remains vigilant with protection measures on base to keep service members, families, civilian employees and others safe during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The following is a list of basewide closures, postponements, cancellations, and reopenings on base, as well as on/off-base school closures related to the COVID-19 outbreak in Washington state. This page is updated often with new information, as it becomes available.
MWR COVID UPDATES

Auto centers: McChord Field Auto Skills Center is open for anyone with base access, based on availability of personnel. Call in advance to make an appointment, 253-982-7226.
Barber Shops: Barbershops on JBLM are open for DOD ID cardholders at 25% capacity.

Education Centers: Education Centers are now open, but partner universities may be operating on different schedules. Call 253-967-7174 for more information.
- The Army Testing Center at Stone Education Center is open. Occupancy is limited to enforce social distancing.
Housing Services Office: Open by appointment only from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday to Wednesday. Closed Thursday and Friday. For appointments, call 253-967-3581.
ID Cards/DEERS enrollement: The ID Card Center in Waller Hall is open and will not close; the ID Card facility on McChord Field is open for only active-duty, reserve and guard service members. All others needing ID support on McChord Field are welcome at Waller Hall. For more info, click here.
Leisure Travel Services: Leisure Travel Services on Lewis Main, inside the bowling center, is open weekdays. Please remember that locations and refund policies vary and customers should understand the risk they are accepting by choosing to purchase tickets.
Lewis Army Museum: Closed until further notice. Click ⚠ here to experience the museum online.
Libraries: JBLM Libraries are open at 25% capacity. No computers are available at this time. For more info, click here.
Recycling Centers: All JBLM Recycling Centers are closed until further notice. Regularly scheduled recycling service will continue on JBLM for units, organization, and housing residents. Due to COVID 19, the local refuse and recycling services are constantly changing. Please call ahead for hours and eligibility. Visit the Recycling and Refuse page for a short list of transfer stations that take recyclables, refuse, large items, and household hazardous waste.
School Reopening Trackers: School Support Services is maintaining a tracker showing the current status of each school district in the JBLM area. To view the latest information, click here. Please visit the district/school website listed on the tracker for additional information.
Theaters on JBLM: All theaters on JBLM are closed for movies.
Trash & Recycling Pick-Up: Bulk pick up is suspended in housing, until further notice. For more information, housing residents should contact Lewis-McChord Communities, 253-912-3485. Regularly scheduled trash and recycling pick-up will continue.
Warrior Restaurants: All Warrior Restaurants will allow for inside seating, but seating is limited to 50% capacity and no more than five people seated per table. There is no change for to-go meals and outdoor seating. Fore more information, click here
