This area of great natural importance falls within the Special Conservation Zone of the Bosco di Dueville and nearby resurgences (Caldogno and Villaverla). It features springs and wetlands, which give rise to one of Europe’s largest spring-fed rivers, the Bacchiglione. In addition to the unique spring water pools, the springs of Bacchiglione are home to many rare species of trees, birds, fish, amphibians, and reptiles. They also serve as a resting and feeding area for migratory birds.
