The Transition Assistance Program is responsible for providing Soldiers with the counseling, employment and education workshops, and seminars required to achieve the law and policy Career Readiness Standards mandated compliance. TAP has undergone a re-engineering in order to "prepare" and "connect" Soldiers to ensure the greatest opportunities for successful personal and career achievement upon transition from active duty.

The TAP Virtual Center is an immersive, three-dimensional, online environment where Soldiers can receive all the transition and education services that they would normally receive at a bricks-and-mortar TAP Center.

There are many resources to assist with military transition and job preparation. The TAP counselors can conduct individual counseling sessions, assist with job searching, and provide resume assistance. Seminars are conducted for resume preparation, interviewing training, and preparing for federal employment. Virtual Center visitors can access the resource library which contains transition information, resume materials, seminar slides and many other additional resources.
