COL J. Brennon Kavanaugh
Colonel Brennon J. Kavanaugh assumed duty as the Commander of the 11th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, Fort Bliss, Texas, in July 2023.
He is a distinguished military graduate and earned his commission in the United States Army upon completing his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering Tech from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2002. Col. Kavanaugh is a graduate of the Army War College (superior graduate) and recently served as the Deputy Director of J8 Requirements and Resources, INDOPACOM.
Throughout his career, Col. Kavanaugh has held various command positions, including Commander, 2nd Battalion (Patriot), 43rd Air Defense Artillery, Fort Bliss, Texas, Operation Enduring Freedom, Qatar, and Bahrain; Commander, Headquarters, and Headquarters Battery, 32d Army Air and Missile Defense Command, Fort Bliss; Commander, A Battery, 3rd Battalion (Patriot), 43rd Air Defense Artillery, Fort Bliss, Operation Enduring Freedom, Qatar, and Kuwait.
In addition to his command assignments, Col. Col. Kavanaugh's academic accomplishments include a Master of Strategic Studies from the Army War College, Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and a Master of Science in Policy Management from Georgetown University, Washington, DC.
His awards and decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (7 Oak Leaf Cluster), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (3 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (1 OLC), Combat Action Badge, Parachutist Badge, Office of Secretary Defense Identification Badge, and the Army Staff Identification Badge.

CSM Albert Fletcher
Command Sergeant Major Albert Fletcher enlisted in the U.S. Army as a 14T Patriot Launcher Station Operator Maintainer at Kansas City, Missouri, in August 1997. He attended basic training in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Bliss, Texas.
He served in various leadership positions to include Team Leader, Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, First Sergeant (for five Air Defense Artillery Patriot Units) and as Battalion Operations and Command Sergeant Major. Additionally, CSM Fletcher has served as the lead Rappel Master (Black-hat) for the U.S. Army Air Assault School at Fort Bliss, and Chief Instructor for the Fort Bliss Noncommissioned Officer Academy.
CSM Fletcher’s stateside assignments include Fort Bliss and Fort Hood Texas. His overseas deployments and assignments include Incirlik Air Base, Turkey; Ali-Al-Salem Air Base, Kuwait; Nevatim Air Base, Israel; Isa Air Base, Bahrain; Al-Udeid Air Base, Qatar; Al-Dhafra Air Base, United Arab Emirates; Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia; and Iraq. Overseas duty stations include 6-52 Air Defense Artillery Battalion, Ansbach, Germany; 2-1 ADA, Camp Carroll, Korea; and 35th ADA Brigade, Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea.
He most recently served as the Battalion Command Sergeant Major for Cobra Strike, the 1-43 Air Defense Artillery Battalion at Fort Bliss. His prior position and station was as the Operations Sergeant Major for the 32d Air and Missile Defense Command, Fort Bliss.
CSM Fletcher’s military education includes Primary Leadership Development Course (now Basic Leader Course), Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course (now Advanced Leader Course), Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course (now Senior Leader Course), the Noncommissioned Officer Battle Staff Course, Total Army Instructors Training Course, Small Group Instructor Trainers Course, First Sergeants Course at the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy, the U.S. Army Master Resilience Course, the U.S. Army Equal Opportunity Leaders Course, the Company Command Course, the U.S. Army Air Assault Course, the U.S. Army Rappel Master Course, the Department of Defense Military Deception Planners Course, the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Assessment Program, Battalion Level Pre-Command Course and he is a graduate of the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Course Class 67.
His awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (7th award), Army Commendation Medal (3rd award) and Army Achievement Medal (6th award). He is also a member of the prestigious Sergeant Audie Murphy Association and the Honorable Order of Saint Barbara.
