APG Army 250th Birthday Celebration Week!

TIME: Birthday celebration begins at 4:00 pm, concert begins at 7:00 pm.
LOCATION: Shamrock Park, Bel Air, Maryland

Bring your lawn chair, grab a blanket, and join us as the Susquehanna Symphony Orchestra pays musical tribute to the Soldiers, veterans, and their families that have defined our Army culture for the past 250 years. This free event will feature interactive displays from APG’s tenant units, veteran service organizations, food trucks and more!

LOCATION: Garrison HQs, building 305, 6836 Civil Dr.

Lace up your shoes and get ready to complete either the 2.50 mile or 2.50k course on Aberdeen Proving Ground. The first 250 finishers receive a commemorative APG Army 250th Birthday coin.
Virtual
Participants will complete a series of five (5) stations of Army exercises to earn a total of 250 pts.
The events are:
- Hand-release push-ups (2 mins)
- Air Squats (2 mins)
- Plank (2 mins)
- Standing Power Throw (2 times)
- Sprint-Carry-Lateral (25 meters – down and back)
*NOTE: Participating in any physical activity carries the possibility of injury, including muscle strains, sprains, and more serious injuries. Individuals with pre-existing medical conditions, injuries, or limitations should consult with a healthcare professional before participating in the event.

Get up close and personal with the newest technology and advancements behind the gate on this day-long experience crafted with this historic birthday in mind. This is your chance to see your Army in action – APG style!
*Transportation and lunch not included, groups and individuals must pre-register.*
Fairways to Freedom
TIME: 8:00 a.m. registration, 9:00 a.m. shotgun start
LOCATION: Ruggles Golf Course, Aberdeen Proving Ground
OPEN TO: The general public
Sign up to play solo or as part of a foursome and hit the links! This shotgun start tournament will feature prizes for the winners and include a catered lunch. Birthday and patriotic attire encouraged!
TIME: 10:00 am
LOCATION: Living Legacy Forest, Aberdeen Proving Ground
OPEN TO: DoD CAC Holders and those with installation access
Pay tribute to the Army and Maryland’s native ecosystem by taking part in this very special outdoor experience. Participants will plant 250 black eyed Susan’s to commemorate the Army’s 250 birthday and honor the legacy of all who have served.
TIME: 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
LOCATION: Shore Park, APG North
OPEN TO: The general public
Ready, set, soak! This free, outdoor water-filled fest is the perfect way to wrap up the birthday week. Play some water games, enjoy time in the sun with friends and family, and splash in the pool!
