The APG Poetry Slam is on, Thursday, June 15, from 9 a.m. - noon, at the Myer Auditorium and virtually on MS Teams. MS Teams link will be provided closer to the event date.
A Poetry Slam is a competition at which poets read or recite original work. These performances are then judged on a numeric scale by previously selected members of the audience.
Participants will present Sexual Harassment and/or Sexual Assault themed poems focusing on such topics as prevention, culture change, intervention, awareness, and more. All poets are welcome, even those who have never even considered writing poetry before. With guest speakers of Obbie West, Dr. Vanessa Guyton, and Rashan Legard.
