Colonel Jason A. Cole
Colonel Jason A. Cole is a native of Virginia Beach, Virginia, commissioned as an Ordnance Officer through Virginia Military Institute, and entered active duty in May 2000. He is a graduate of the Ordnance Officer Basic and Logistics Captain Career courses, Airborne and Air Assault Schools, Command and General Staff Officers Course, and Senior Service College at the Joint Advanced Warfighting School (JAWS), Norfolk, Virginia. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Business from Virginia Military Institute, a master’s in Joint Strategy and Campaign Planning from the Joint Advanced Warfighting School.
Colonel Cole has served in a variety of command and staff assignments throughout his career. Previous assignments include: Combined joint Task Force – Horn of Africa, CJ-4; Future Operations and Plans Office (G35), 19th Expeditionary Sustainment
Command; Deputy Commander, Materiel Support Command – Korea; Commander, 1st Battalion, 357th Regiment, 189th Combined Arms Training Brigade, First Army; Brigade Logistics Support Team Chief, Army Field Support Battalion – Campbell, Executive Officer (XO), 101st Special Troops Battalion, 101st Sustainment Brigade; Commander, Bravo Company, 202d Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Brigade, 2d Infantry Division. Additionally, he served as the Exchange Officer to the Australian Army School of Logistics Operations (ASLO) and Assistant Professor of Military Science at Valley Forge Military College. He has served multiple times at the National Training Center, Fort Irwin, California and the Joint Readiness Training Center, Fort Polk, Louisiana as a guest Senior Battalion Trainer. He served in multiple company grade positions at Fort Liberty, North Carolina, and has deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Djibouti. His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (with 2 Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster), Defense Superior Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (with 2 Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster), Army Commendation Medal (with 2 Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters), Senior Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, and the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge. Colonel Cole is married to the former Kristin Mrazik from Virginia Beach, Virginia. They have three children.
