Georgia Tech (VET2):

Summary: Among the first of its kind in the U.S., the Veterans Education Training and Transition (VET2) is a fully-funded military transition program that provides education and job opportunities to help transitioning active-duty service members in the state of Georgia, unemployed veterans, and military spouses (in designated regions of the state of Georgia) translate military values and experience into a successful civilian career. CSP & SkillBridge Process and Timeline

1.Decide on CSP & Apply

Select the CSP you're interested in and contact their Representative.  If this is the right CSP for you, complete their application process. Things to consider:  Is it local, virtual or will you need Administrative Absence (formerly known as Permissive TDY)? Does the available cohort align with your timeline? Is there a different program that aligns more with my goals? Would you like a representative to contact you directly?  Fill out this CSP Interest Sheet and email it to our CSP Installation Administrator (IA). CSPs can be found on the Army CSP Website: https://home.army.mil/imcom/customers/career-skills-program/csp-programs-and-locations
DoD SkillBridge opportunities are found here: https://skillbridge.osd.mil/

2.Acceptance into CSP

If you are accepted, the CSP will provide you with a Letter of Acceptance. The CSP Representative may have other, unique instructions for you (ie: funding application). These additional tasks will be a parallel process to the below Chain of Command (CoC) approval process. More information on Participation and Eligibility can be found on the Army CSP Website: https://home.army.mil/imcom/customers/career-skills-program/soldier

3.Packet Information

Once you have received an Acceptance Letter from your CSP/SkillBridge, email the Acceptance

Letter to fortstewartcsp@army.mil for review and to receive the CSP packet for CoC routing and

approval. CSP packets are to be completed and signed electronically by the Soldier and their CoC.

BN CDR: Lowest approval/disapproval authority.

BDE CDR: Lowest approval/disapproval authority for Administrative Absence greater than 50 miles away from home station in conjunction with CSP packet.

4.Finalization and Final CSP Approval
Once the packet has all required signatures, provide a copy to the CSP IA to verify and process. Ensure additional or unique instructions with the CSP itself have also been met.
