MISSION: The mission of U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz Casualty Program Services, as an extension of the Europe and Africa Casualty Assistance Center, is to assist and support families in an emotionally stressful time of bereavement, as well as provide training and resources to all Soldiers serving in casualty notification or assistance capacity, and to those dedicated professionals assisting family members in their greatest time of need.

USAG R-P Casualty Notification Officer/Casualty Assistance Officer (CNO/CAO) training

To request a seat in the next scheduled course date, click on the link that says “Registration form for CNO/CAO Training.” Complete all blanks and email back to the Casualty Manager at usarmy.rheinland-pfalz.id-europe.list.garrison-mpd-casualty@army.mil for processing. The attendee will be enrolled in the ATTRS system prior to class and all attendees will receive course materials from the lead instructor prior to the class, and the Casualty Manager will email the location of the course.

CNO/CAO training is from 0800-1600 and the uniform is the uniform of the day.

                                                                                 Requirements for CNO/CAO Training:

Must be a mature Soldier, SFC through CSM, CW2-CW5, (with at least six years’ time in service) and above, CPT and above (AR 638-8 Chapter 4 and 5 and 5-3) outline the rank requirements.
