Command Sergeant Major Bryan L. Jaragoske is a native of Aberdeen South Dakota and he enlisted in the Army in August of 2001 as an Infantryman. He attended one station unit training, followed by basic airborne training at Fort Benning Georgia.

CSM Jaragoske has served in every leadership position from Team Leader to Command Sergeant Major in the infantry and the 82nd Airborne Division. He additional held positions as a Rifleman, Scout, Scout Radio Telephone Operator, Scout Sniper, Sniper Team Leader, Assistant Scout Team Leader, Recruiter, Ranger Instructor, Operations Sergeant.

His assignments include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Brigade Combat teams of the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Minneapolis Recruiting Battalion, Roseville recruiting station in Roseville, Minnesota, 6th Ranger Training Battalion at Camp James E. Rudder, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, and173rd Infantry Brigade Combat team (Airborne) in Vicenza, Italy. He has seven deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Inherent Resolve to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kuwait. His last duty position was the Command Sergeant Major of 5th Squadron of the 73rd Cavalry Regiment and the interim 3rd Brigade Combat Team Command Sergeant Major, 82nd Airborne Division. CSM Jaragoske is currently The Brigade Mission Command and Control Sergeant Major and interim Command Sergeant Major of Operations Group, Joint Readiness Training Center, Fort Polk, Louisiana.

CSM Jaragoske has completed numerous military courses to include Basic Airborne Course, Army Sniper Course, Reconnaissance Surveillance Leadership Course, Army Recruiter Course, Basic Leaders Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Jumpmaster Course, Pathfinder Course, Maneuvers Senior Leaders Course, Ranger Course, Tactical Cert. Course, and Basic Instructor training. His civilian education includes a high school diploma from Central High School in Aberdeen South Dakota and a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership and Workforce Development from the United States Army Command and Staff College.
