Sergeant Major of the Army Michael A. Grinston wrapped up a two-day visit to the Total Force Training Center July 20-21, 2021, meeting and talking with Soldiers and spouses of the Eagle Brigade, Soldiers attending advanced leader and senior leader courses and U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers training on Fort McCoy as part of Pershing Strike 21. When approximately 450 Soldiers with the Army’s 10th Mountain Division participated in an Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercise during the second week of July, members of the Fort McCoy Logistics Readiness Center team were critical in supporting the effort, Army Forces Command officials said. BRIDGE REPAIR PLANNED
Fort McCoy’s South J Street will be closed Aug. 23 through Oct. 29 from South 8th Avenue to South 9th Avenue for construction of a new bridge over Tarr Creek, Fort McCoy Directorate of Public Works (DPW) officials said.
The suggested detour is to jog to the west utilizing South 8th Avenue, South F Street, and South 9th Avenue.
