Fort McCoy’s economic impact exceeds $1.479 billion during fiscal year 2020

Fort McCoy’s total economic impact for fiscal year (FY) 2020 was an estimated $1.479 billion, above the $1.184 billion reported for FY 2019, garrison officials announced. (Link)

Fort McCoy signs IGSA with Wisconsin’s Vernon County

Fort McCoy and Wisconsin’s Vernon County formally signed an intergovernmental service agreement, or IGSA, March 15 in an official signing ceremony at the headquarters for U.S. Army Garrison Fort McCoy. (Link)

Fort McCoy personnel complete 2021’s first prescribed burns

The 2021 prescribed burn season at Fort McCoy continued March 18 with dozens more acres completed, said Charles Mentzel, Fort McCoy forester with the Directorate of Public Works (DPW) who coordinates the prescribed burn program with the Directorate of Emergency Services (DES) Fire Department. Airmen train in CWOC for a second year at Fort McCoy

Fort the second consecutive year, Airmen made up nearly an entire class of students in the Fort McCoy Cold-Weather Operations Course, or CWOC. (Link)
