Workforce briefing: COVID-19 pandemic shaped 2020; post workforce proved resilient, did well

Garrison Commander Col. Michael Poss highlighted Fort McCoy’s flexibility and resilience during the annual workforce briefing, which was held virtually Jan. 19 over Microsoft Teams due to gathering size and social-distancing restrictions put in place by the COVID-19 pandemic. (Link)





 

Construction of new transient training barracks passes 60 percent complete

Even through the winter with snow and below-zero temperatures outside, construction of a new multimillion-dollar barracks continues at Fort McCoy. (Link)
 

Cold-Weather Operations Course class 21-02 graduates 21 students

Marines and ROTC cadets were among the 21 students who trained in snow and cold temperatures and more to graduate from Fort McCoy Cold-Weather Operations Course (CWOC) Class 21-02 in mid-January after 14 days of training. (Link)
