Army Emergency Relief 2022 campaign kicks off
Fort McCoy’s 2022 Army Emergency Relief campaign kicks off Feb. 17.
A breakfast will be held 8:30 to 9 a.m. at McCoy’s Community Center, followed by the campaign kick-off event from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Unit project officer training follows at 9:45 a.m.
AER is dedicated to helping the Army take care of its own by providing financial assistance to Soldiers with money donated by Soldiers.

Healthy Relationships for Teens planned for Feb. 19
Army Community Service is hosting a “Healthy Relationships for Teens” workshop Feb. 19 at South Post Community Center.
Studies show the keys to a healthy relationship are respect, honesty, trust, equality, and good communication.
Its never to early to started talking with teens about healthy relationships. The repercussions of teen dating violence are impossible to ignore – they hurt not just the young people victimized but also their families, friends, schools, and communities.
Throughout February, the Fort McCoy Community highlights the need to educate young people about dating violence, teach healthy relationship skills and prevent the devastating cycle of abuse.

PCS Open House set for Feb. 23
Army Community Service is hosting a Permanent Change of Station Open House from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 23 at McCoy’s Community Center.
Representatives from the following areas will be available: Relocation Readiness, Exceptional Family Member Program, Personal Property Processing Office, Housing Office, Military Personnel Division, and School Liaison Office.
Information tables providing relocation resources for adults and children will be available. Military spouses are highly encouraged to attend.

Parenting workshop planned for Feb. 24
Army Community Service will host a workshop, “Strengthening Parenting Practices Family Game Night” from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 24 at South Post Community Center.
Enjoy a much-deserved night out while learning strategies to support you in your role as a parent. In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to socialize and play a home version of a well-known game show with other participants all while gaining insight that will strengthen your parenting practices.

McCoy’s Community Center is hosting free movie nights throughout February.
All movies start at 7 p.m. Movies change nightly and include both newer releases and older favorites.

Connect the Tots playgroup meets Tuesdays
The Connect the Tots playgroup meets Tuesdays.
Playgroups are 10 a.m. to noon Tuesdays through March 1 at The Army Community Service Family Building, 2161. Each playgroup features a theme.
The playgroup contains toys, books, and other materials to help strengthen each child’s cognitive, physical, and creative selves and to help promote social-emotional skill building.
Through play, transitions, circle time, songs and activities, and informal conversations, parents can learn about developmental ages and stages, gain tools to help understand their child’s behavior, and become empowered to prepare the family and child to enter school ready to learn.

Rumpel Fitness Center offering free classes
Rumpel Fitness Center is currently offering free fitness classes.
Classes available are Body Blast from 3:30 to 4 p.m. Mondays, Abs from 11:30 a.m. to noon Wednesdays, and Cycling from 3:30 to 4 p.m. Thursdays. Preregistration at the front desk is required.

24/7 access available at Rumpel Fitness Center
Rumpel Fitness Center offers 24/7 access.
Fitness equipment has been spaced 6 feet apart and the social distancing will be strongly enforced. Patrons are expected to wipe down equipment before and after use. Limited equipment is available.
Masks will be required when entering and exiting the facility and while in the locker room. Masks do not have to be worn while exercising.
