Below is a list of modified hours, closures and other information for the winter holiday period and over the Christmas and New Year's Day holidays.
Thursday, Dec. 24, Friday, Dec. 25 and Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, are federal holidays. Almost all garrison offices will be closed. Emergency services will be open. (Note: Christmas Eve is not usually a federal holiday. It was authorized via an executive order Dec. 11.)
The garrison holiday period is Dec. 21-Jan. 4, 2021. A reduced work schedule will be in effect for service members (applies to Soldiers assigned to the garrison only).
The U.S. Army Pacific holiday period is Dec. 21-Jan. 3, 2021. The 25th Infantry Division's half-day schedule is Dec. 14-Jan. 1, 2021. The division's block leave period is Dec. 19-Jan. 3, 2021. Soldiers should check with their chains of command to confirm what their schedule is.
Thursday, Dec. 31, is a U.S. Army Pacific and garrison training holiday and 25th Infantry Division day of no significant activity, or DONSA. Soldiers should check with their unit leadership to confirm whether they have a day off or not. On training holidays, garrison offices are open but customers going to offices with uniformed staff may experience longer wait times than usual.
AAFES Facilities

Child Care
-All child development centers, family child care homes and school age centers are closed Thursday, Dec. 24, Friday, Dec. 25 and Friday, Jan. 1, 2021.
-Child development and school age centers have modified hours from Dec. 21-31. They will be open 6 a.m.-6 p.m. (instead of 5:30 a.m.-6 p.m.).
Commissary
- Dec. 24: open 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Dec. 25: Closed
- Dec. 31: open 9 a.m.-7 p.m.
- Jan. 1: Closed

Dining Facilities

Golf Courses
Both the Leilehua and Nagorski golf courses are open 6:30 a.m.-6 p.m., seven days a week.
Health Care
-Desmond T. Doss Health Clinic: On weekends in December, the drive thru pharmacy will be closed (refills available inside the pharmacy). Entire clinic is closed Dec. 24, 25 and Jan. 1, 2021. COVID-19 testing will be available in the parking garage from 9 a.m.-noon Thursday, Dec. 31. The Acute Care Clinic will be open Dec. 31 from 7 a.m.-6:30 p.m.
-Tripler Army Medical Center: The Emergency Room will continue to be open 24/7 throughout the holiday season. All other clinics including the outpatient pharmacy the COVID-19 testing site will be closed Dec. 24 and 25 and Jan. 1. The COVID-19 testing site at Fort Shafter Flats will be open 9 a.m.-noon on Dec. 26 and Jan. 2.The COVID-19 testing site will be open 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Dec. 31.
-Warrior Ohana Medical Home: Closed Dec. 24, 25 and Jan. 1
-Hawaii COVID-19 Hotline (1-888-683-2778, option 8): Closed Dec. 24-26 and Jan. 1-2. Open 6:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 31. If called when closed, caller will be directed to the 24/7 Tricare Nurse Hotline.
-Central Appointment Line (1-888-683-2778): Closed Dec. 24-26 and Jan. 1-2. Open 6:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 31. If called when closed, caller will be directed to the 24/7 Tricare Nurse Hotline.
Island Palm Communities
-All offices will close early Friday, Dec. 18 at 3 p.m.
-All offices will close early at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 24 and will be closed Friday, Dec. 25. They will reopen Monday, Dec. 28.
-All offices will close early at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 31 and will be closed Friday, Jan. 1. They will reopen Monday, Jan. 4.

Physical Fitness Centers
- Dec. 24: Fort Shafter and Martinez open 7 a.m.-noon
- Dec. 25: Closed

Schools
-Winter break is Dec. 21-Jan. 4. School will be back in session Tuesday, Jan. 5.
-Administrative offices will be open during the break, but they will be closed Friday, Dec. 25, and Friday, Jan. 1.
Single Soldier Holiday Meal
