SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, Hawaii -- Hawaii's Federal Fire Department and U.S. Army Garrison Hawaii commander Col. Thomas Barrett recognized 30 of its personnel in a small ceremony at Fire Station 15 on Schofield Barracks, June 11.
On Nov. 17, 2018, six members of the Federal Fire Department provided aid to a 10-year-old child who passed out and later suffered a cardiac arrest in family housing on Schofield Barracks. Firefighters/paramedics Vincent Conte and Keith Imada; firefighters Gregory Moore and Matthew Neves; driver/operator Robert Real; and Lt. David Yoshida were presented with Live Saving Awards for their action. The child, who survived, and his family were present at the ceremony.
Six other Federal Fire Department Personnel earned the Live Saving Award for actions taken during an incident in February 2019: firefighters/emergency medical technicians Trevor Aikau-Osurman, Michael Calloway and James Flynn; firefighter/paramedic Glenn Chung; Lt./emergency medical technician Joshua Emmanuel; and driver operator/advanced emergency medical technician Kekoa Gonzales.
There were also 21 personnel recognized with Length of Service awards.

The Federal Fire Department provides fire protection and emergency medical services to all Department of Defense military installations on Oahu, Pacific Missile Range facility on Kauai, and provides mutual aid to the City and County of Honolulu.
