The Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization, & Security provides sustained support to U.S. Army Garrison Hawaii in the functional areas of aviation, security, and plans/operations.
They manage the Class D air space, individual security requirements, mobilization/demobilization of Reserve Component forces, and they develop emergency response plans/exercises.
Aviation
The Aviation Division provides exceptional airfield and air traffic control services that enhance 25th Infantry Division's ability to shape the environment and prevent conflict across the Pacific.
Please note privately owned unmanned aerial vehicles, or UAVs, and/or drones are not authorized to be flown over any U.S. Army installations. Furthermore, any UAV/drone flights within five miles of Wheeler Army Airfield must be coordinated at least 24 hours in advance. Plans & Operations
The Plans & Operations Division oversees the Garrison Operations Center, or GOC, which is open from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. and manages the garrison’s Alert! mass warning notification system as well as community information bulletins. Plans & Operations exercises responsibility for current and future garrison operations, mandatory annual training, manages the long range training calendar and the Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2, formerly known as TMT). They manage the Mobilization Force Generating Installation, or MFGI, at Area X, Schofield Barracks, and Visual Information, also known as TV2, which provides audio visual support to ceremonies and special events.
Protection
The Protection Division encompasses the garrison’s antiterrorism, emergency management and security (personnel and information) programs. Protection oversees the on-call Emergency Operations Center, or EOC, activated during exercises and real world emergencies. They also review/update emergency response plans, plan and execute protection exercises and the garrison’s Protection Working Group. The Security Branch supports background investigations and fingerprinting of newly hired garrison personnel.
