The Recycling Center’s mission is to divert material from the landfill by recycling as much as possible. The center offers dumpster and recyclable pickup service for many on post buildings. Items can be dropped of at the Recycling Center located at 10th Street and Chamberlain Avenue. Household recycling items are accepted for all “off-post” residents as well.

- Cardboard, Paper, Newspaper, Magazines,
- Plastics (1 & 2) and
- Aluminum and Tin Cans
- Scrap Metal (Tuesday and Thursday drop off only)
- Toner Cartridges
- Pallets
- E-waste: Cables which container copper, personal computers with the drives destroyed, metal computer mounts, mouse, keyboard, HDMI cables, and some monitors
- Lithium-ion 'brick style batteries' *
Not Accepted
- Newspapers
- Magazines
- Plastics
- Glass
- Tires
- Hazardous waste and Materials
- Food waste
- Oils and Lubricants
- Military Grade Equipment of any kind
* Household batteries (AA, AAA, etc.) can be dropped off in collection containers at local retailers such as Batteries Plus (no endorsement implied).
Recycling Centers in the community
Community Recycling Centers are available to residents of that community and accept the same items the Fort Gordon's Recycling Center does, and many of the items it isn't able to take. Click the links below to find the drop off locations.
