MISSION

The U.S. Army Trial Defense Service (USATDS) provides legal support to Soldiers and Officers who are facing courts-martial, non-judicial punishment, administrative separation/elimination, and certain other adverse administrative actions.

Thursday - Client Intake Day

Intake Procedures:
All appointments at the USATDS Fort Gordon Field Office are conducted virtually.  To speak with someone about obtaining a virtual appointment, please call (706) 791-3217.  The telephone will be monitored during our hours of operation.

Our intake procedures vary depending on the action a potential client is facing.  Please review the procedures below:

  • For individuals with pending non-judicial punishment (Article 15), client intake takes place between 0900 and 1130 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Prior to calling our office, please ensure that your unit has provided you with a complete copy of your action, provided our office with a copy of the action, and that you have watched the Article 15 video that is available here. During your initial call with the office, you will speak to one of our Defense Paralegals who will ensure that you are afforded an opportunity to speak to an attorney, should you request to.
  • For individuals with a pending administrative separation, client intake takes place between 1300 and 1630 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Prior to calling our office, please ensure that your unit has provided you with a complete copy of your action, provided our office with a copy of the action, and that you have watched the Chapter/Elimination video that is available here.  During your initial call with the office, you will speak to one of our Defense Paralegals who will ensure that you are afforded an opportunity to speak to an attorney, should you request to.
  • For individuals with a pending investigation (law enforcement or administrative), please call during our hours of operation to schedule an appointment with an attorney.
  • For individuals facing a court-martial, please call during our hours of operation to schedule an appointment with an attorney.
  • For all other matters, please call and speak with one of our Defense Paralegals.
