Welcome to Fort Gordon, one of the U.S. Army's largest installations.

The installation covers about 55,596 acres, or 87 square miles, is located just a few miles southwest of the city of Augusta, Georgia in Richmond County. More than 16,000 military service members and about 13,500 civilian personnel (that includes DACs, NAF Employees and Contractors) work at Fort Gordon, with about 4,000 Family members living on post.

LENDING CLOSET

During Permanent Change of Station, or PCS, season Soldiers and their families come and go and often need household supplies to help function from day-to-day before their household goods get to where they are going.

The Lending Closet is a free community resource for Fort Gordon where you may borrow a multitude of items to include:
(1) Kitchen Kits (includes cookware, dishes, silverware, coffee pot, toaster)
(2) Microwaves
(3) Foam Sleeping Mats
(4) Irons & Ironing Boards
(5) High Chairs
(6) Pack-n-Plays
