Command Sgt. Major Stonnie Bell Jr.

Command Sergeant Major Stonnie Bell Jr. was born in Lumberton, NC on 18 March 1985. He joined the United States Army on 21 June 2002, completing Basic Training at Fort Jackson, SC, followed by Advanced Individual Training at Fort Gordon, GA trained as a Signaler. 

CSM Bell has held a myriad of duty positions during his 22 year career, his previous assignments include: Signal Support Systems Specialists 3 rd Battalion, 313th Regiment CSSB, Fort Bragg, NC; Operations NCO assigned to 3rd Battalion, 320th CSSB, Oklahoma City, OK; G6 NCOIC assigned to 143d Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), Orlando, FL; S6 NCOIC assigned to 416th Civil Affairs Battalion (Airborne), San Diego, CA ; HHC, First Sergeant assigned to 353d Civil Affairs Command, Staten Island, NY; Operations Sergeant Major, 359th TTSB, Fort Gordon, GA, G-3 Sergeant Major, 335th Signal Command (Theater), East Point, GA. He is currently assigned as the Garrison Command Sergeant Major, ASA Fort Dix, JBMDL, NJ. He has two deployments one in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) (Baghdad, Iraq) and one deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) (Kandahar, Afghanistan). 

CSM Bell’s military education includes Primary Leader Development Course (PLDC), Basic Non-Commissioned Officer’s Course (BNCOC), Advanced Non-Commissioned Officer’s Course (ANCOC), Sergeant’s Major Course Class 71, Airborne School, Air Assault School, Master Resilience Training Course, COMSEC Account Manager’s Course, Signal Digital Master Gunner Course, and Joint C4 Planners Course. CSM Bell’s civilian education includes an Associate Degree in general studies, Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology Management, and Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity Policies all from Colorado Technical University. 

CSM Bell’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (3 OLC); Army Commendation Medal (3 OLC); Army Achievement Medal (3 OLC); Army Good Conduct Medal (6th Award); National Defense Service Medal; Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal; Afghanistan Campaign Medal; Iraqi Campaign Medal; Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; NCO Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 5); Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon , Joint Unit Meritorious Award, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Superior Unit Award; Combat Action Badge; Parachutist Badge; Air Assault Badge; and Canadian Jump Wings. 

CSM Bell is married to the former Anna Northcutt of Lumberton, NC since 2012. They have four children two sons Tristan, and Grayson, and two daughters Callie and Kayleigh
