Mr. Drew Turinski, Deputy Garrison Commander
Mr. Drew A. Turinski serves as Deputy to the Garrison Commander for U.S. Army Garrison Carlisle Barracks in support of the U.S. Army War College located in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. He supports the USAG Carlisle Barracks Garrison Commander in managing base operations, and he is responsible for providing program support to various directors and special staff in support of Soldiers, Civilians and Family members throughout the installation.
Prior to his current assignment, he served as Deputy to the Garrison Commander for U.S. Army Garrison Casey on Camp Casey in South Korea. Before being assigned as the Deputy, he served as the Director, Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security (DPTMS) with U.S. Army Garrison Red Cloud and Area I in South Korea where he was responsible for planning, directing and synchronizing the garrison's installation operations.
Mr. Turinski has also served as the Chief of the Warrior Training Center on Camp Casey and at Fort Sill, Okla., as Lead Analyst at the Fires Center of Excellence Battle Lab, supporting joint and Army experimentation for future concepts and technologies.
Mr. Turinski also served in multiple U.S. Army organizations from the Company to the Combatant Command level with increasing levels of responsibility. He primarily spent most of his military career supporting joint and coalition operations at Fort Ord, Calif.; Fort Drum N.Y.; Fort Sill, Okla.; Fort Leavenworth, Kan.; the Republic of Korea and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Mr. Turinski is a graduate of the United States Military Academy and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Management. He also holds a master's degree in Business Management from Webster University and a master's degree in International Relations from Shippensburg State College. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army's Senior Service College.
He is married and has two sons.
