Mission: Assistance to customers with all housing needs. Guidance and assistance to all incoming and departing personnel. Quality up-to-date information for customers pertaining to all aspects of military relocation. Alternatives for better service member choices. Mediating disputes, counseling customers, delivering education and providing local guidance on local housing needs.

Must Know: Effective March 29, 2018, service members will no longer be required to visit the Housing Services Office to receive a Permissive TDY stamp on their DA Form 31 for house hunting purposes. Please refer to the Memorandum and Military Pay E-Message 18-038 for more information.

Service members are required to report to the Housing Services Office at their existing and new duty stations before making arrangements to rent, lease, or purchase off-post housing. Service members are further advised not to send monetary deposits for housing prior to contacting the HSO.

The Fort Bliss Housing Services Office understands the stress associated with relocating. Our team of professionals creates a warm welcome and soft landing for arriving/departing customers. Please stop by the HSO and let our trained staff assist you and your family with your housing needs.

Unaccompanied Housing Branch

Mission: Provide quality, troop-ready barracks and enhanced customer service for Fort Bliss service members. Ensure only clean, safe and secure facilities are offered. Build effective, mutually beneficial relationships with leadership and units across Fort Bliss.

Vision: Fort Bliss Unaccompanied Housing and unit stakeholders are dedicated to provide our service members quality unaccompanied housing that is appropriate to the service they provide to our country.

UH Provides: Unaccompanied Housing oversight, long-term planning and property management for all enlisted barracks, Transit and Training barracks and Mobilization barracks; ensured compliance with ABMP and eMH reporting and quality control; Barracks Manager Training; administration and management of all barracks-related contracts; administrates Certificates of Non-availability and exceptions to policy.

Furniture Management Office (FMO)

Provides: Furniture and equipment support for all Unaccompanied Housing, with limited support for McGregor Range and outlying training areas; manage hand receipts, labor and transportation in support of delivery, turn-in and pickup of barracks furnishings.

Brigade Housing teams are responsible for daily operations to include: Room assignments and terminations, eMH data entry, lockouts and Demand Maintenance Orders (DMO). Please contact your specific unit Barracks Manager.

Residential Communities Initiative

Mission: Partner with Private Sector (Balfour Beatty Communities) to improve the housing community at the Installation for service members and their Families.

Vision: RCI is the Army's military housing privatization program. It is the primary component of the Army's integrated plan to eliminate inadequate military Family housing. The partnership leverages funds and assets to build new homes, renovate legacy homes and provide community programs for service members and Families.
-Oversight of on-post Housing and Privatization Project.
-Process Exception to Policy for Government Paid Moves.
-Mitigate resident and landlord disputes.
-Counsel residents when requested.
