U.S. Dental Clinic hosts “Give Retirees a Smile Day” in Geilenkirchen

BRUNSSUM, The Netherlands -- The Geilenkirchen NATO Air Base U.S. Dental Clinic hosted their third annual “Give Retirees a Smile Day” March 21 in Geilenkirchen, Germany. The event was the entire dental clinic team’s way of saying thank you to the men and women who served our country with bravery and devotion.

The event has evolved into an annual tradition where the day is set aside and dedicated strictly to taking care of military retirees and their spouses. Some patients came from as far as two hours away to receive blood-pressure checks, x-rays, exams and either a cleaning or a minor restorative work.

According to the clinic staff, the day was a huge success and provided the airmen in the clinic an opportunity to thank those who had blazed the paths before them. The staff saw the retirees feeling thankful for the services they received. The staff also remarked that each person left with a brighter and much cleaner smile.
