Brussels community starts new Service Culture Peer2Peer Employee of the Quarter Award Initiative

BRUSSELS -- In April, the U.S. Army Garrison Benelux community in Brussels started a new Service Culture Peer2Peer Employee of the Quarter Award initiative.

In the spirit of the Service Culture Campaign’s leadership pledge, “Taking care of our customers begins with taking care of our most valuable asset -- our U.S. Army Installation Management Command Professionals,” USAG Benelux Army professionals in Brussels nominated their peers for the award and voted to select the winner.

The first award winner was Brussels 3 Star Recreation Center manager Eileen Catalan. She was nominated and received 75% of the votes from her peers for exceptional service, outstanding contributions and dedication to the USAG Benelux, Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation, and Business and Recreation programs.

She worked closely with other directorates, U.S. Embassy and NATO partners in addition to cultivating new relationships that led to increased Soldier and family participation in recreation center programs. Her hard work and positive attitude greatly contributed to the continued success of the 3 Star Recreation Center.

Catalan always went the extra mile to ensure that the community gets class “A” service. As an Army professional, Catalan epitomized our garrison motto, “We Deliver!”

Service Culture Peer2Peer Employee of the Quarter Award initiative winners receive a designated Service Culture Campaign Employee of the Quarter reserved parking space. In addition, their photograph is featured on the community digital signage.
