Benelux Soldiers compete to become Europe’s Best Warriors

CHIÈVRES, Belgium -- Cpl. Jacob M. Bussey, a Military Policeman at U.S. Army Garrison Benelux-Brussels, and Spc. Benjamin T. Ford, a Military Policeman at U.S. Army Garrison Benelux Brunssum, will represent the garrison during the Installation Management Command-Europe Best Warrior competition in Stuttgart, Germany. The competition will start March 2, and end March 4.

Five Soldiers participated in the USAG Benelux Best Warrior Competition held Feb. 24-25 on Chièvres Air Base: Spc. Jackson A. Delgado, Military Policeman in Chièvres, Spc. Benjamin T. Ford, Military Policeman in Brussum, Cpl. Jacob M. Bussey, Military Policeman in Brussels, Spc. Dylan L. Chaisson, Military Policeman in Brussels, and Spc. Christian O. Reim, Military Policeman in Dülmen.

The competition included events such as a 6-mile foot march, warrior task and battle drills, a written essay, the Army Physical Fitness Test, and a competition board. 

Bussey was selected as the USAG Benelux NCO of the Year, and Ford was selected as the USAG Benelux Soldier of the Year.Both will go to Stuttgart next week to compete for the IMCOM-E NCO and Soldier of the year.
