Army Tuition Assistance (TA) FY19 End of Fiscal Year Guidance explained

SHAPE, Belgium -- As we approach the beginning of a new fiscal year and in preparation for year-end close-out, the following guidance is provided concerning use of Army Tuition Assistance or TA.

All course enrollments with start dates through Sept. 30, 2019 must be requested in GoArmyEd before 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Sept. 13, 2019.

Attempts to enroll using TA in courses after Sept. 13 will not be approved. There will be no exceptions. This enrollment cut-off is necessary to allow for the fiscal year close out.

This enrollment cut-off has no impact on requests for courses starting Oct. 1, 2019 or later (FY20 enrollments). Please note that as always, FY20 enrollments are subject to availability of funds or STAF. This also does not affect FY19 self-pay enrollments.

This message is to provide advanced notification to Soldiers and the field to minimize the impact of the enrollment cut-off supporting end of fiscal year close out. Education services officers, or ESO, should work very closely with their supporting academic institutions to ensure registration deadlines prior to Sept. 13 are implemented for courses with start dates through Sept. 30.
