Benelux Soldier to compete at AMC-level of the Best Warrior Competition
USAG Benelux in Dülmen Soldier has earned his place to compete at the next level of the Best Warrior Competition!
CPL Tyler Shiflet will compete at the Army Materiel Command-level of the Best Warrior Competition in May.
"I felt amazing when I won, I did not have the best tools and the most practice time but winning this competition made me realize that whatever I set my mind to, I can accomplish."
Shiflet joined Soldiers at the IMCOM-E level where he completed a ruck march, ACFT, stress shoot, day and night land navigation, an obstacle course, warrior tasks and battle drills, M4 weapons qualification and multiple weapons assembly and disassembly function checks.
In his spare time, when he didn't have the actual weapons to practice with, he watched videos and re-enacted the hand motions to prepare for the weapons assembly and disassembly portion of the competition
The next stage of the competition at AMC-level will take place May 1st to May 10th in Alabama.
