Command Sgt. Maj. Michael T. Seelow enlisted in the U.S. Army in January 1999. He attended both Initial Entry and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri as a 12N, Horizontal Construction Engineer.
Command Sgt. Maj. Seelow’s previous assignments include, the 4th Engineer Battalion (EN BN), 65th EN BN, 535th Engineer Support Company, 577th EN BN, 500th Engineer Support Company, the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence NCOA, the 18th MP BDE, and the 554th EN BN. Command Sgt. Maj. Seelow has deployed to both Iraq and Kuwait for Combat and peacekeeping Operations.
Command Sgt. Maj. Seelow’s military education includes All levels of the Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development system, Basic Airborne course, Air Assault course, Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear course, Combative course, Army Basic Instructor Course, Small Group Instructor course, Master Resilience Training course, SHARP course, Anti-Terrorism Basic and Advanced courses, Training EO Leaders course, MFT course. His civilian education includes a Bachelor of Science in Leadership and Workforce Development.
Command Sgt. Maj. Seelow’s awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Parachutist badge, Air Assault badge, driver and mechanics badges, Master Army Instructor badge, German Armed Forces Badge for Weapons Proficiency in gold and the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge in silver. Command Sgt. Maj. Seelow is a recipient of the Combat Order of the Spur from both the 11th and 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiments.
Additionally, Command Sgt. Maj. Seelow is a recipient of the Bronze Order of the de Fleury Medal and was the first Active-duty Non-Commissioned Officer to be awarded the Steel order of the de Fleury.
