Col. Charles Seaberry

           Colonel Charles M. Seaberry was born in Wurzburg, Germany, and considers Hinesville, Georgia, his hometown. He graduated from Augusta State University in 2001 and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Finance Corps. His initial assignment was as Assistant S-3 of the HHC Training Support Battalion at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. He went on to serve in a variety of command and staff positions, including Company Executive Officer, 369th AG Battalion; Commander, Charlie Company, 1/61 Infantry Regiment; and Aide-de-camp.

            In 2007, Colonel Seaberry assessed into the Army Acquisition Corps. His acquisition assignments include service as a Contingency Contracting Officer with the 641st Contingency Contracting Team at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, and subsequent positions within the 411th Contracting Support Brigade at Camp Coiner, Seoul, South Korea. While in Korea, he served as Branch Chief and Warranted Contracting Officer at the Regional Contracting Office in Daegu, as well as Team Leader of the 646th CCT. His leadership and operational excellence in contingency environments earned him the Expeditionary Contracting Command’s Medallion in 2011.

            Following his work in Korea, Colonel Seaberry served as Deputy Division Chief of Contracting for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles District. He then participated in the Army’s prestigious Training with Industry (TWI) program at Lockheed Martin in Orlando, Florida. He continued in Orlando as Assistant Program Manager for Games for Training under PEO STRI. His subsequent positions include Executive Officer for PEO STRI and Assistant Executive Officer to the Principal Military Deputy, Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology) at the Pentagon.

            Colonel Seaberry was later selected as Product Manager for the Common Synthetic Environment (PdM CSE), where he successfully delivered critical modernization efforts including the Synthetic Training Environment (STE) and Live, Virtual, Constructive – Integrated Architecture (LVC-IA). After completing the U.S. Army War College, he assumed the role of Director, DEVCOM Forward Element – Atlantic, where he led international science and technology cooperation, interoperability initiatives, and research integration across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, serving as the Army's S&T lead to NATO.

            Colonel Seaberry holds a Master of Arts in Management and Leadership from Webster University, a Master of Business Administration in Contract Management from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a Master of National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. He is DAWIA Level III certified in both Contracting and Program Management.

            His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (with 6 Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal (with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters), Global War on Terror Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terror Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters), the Army Staff Identification Badge, and the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (Gold).

           Colonel Seaberry is happily married and has a son and daughter.
