Garrison Manager (Acting)
Dan Carter

Mr. Daniel (Dan) Carter is currently serving as the Acting Garrison Manager and previously served as the Deputy Garrison Manager at U.S. Army Garrison Yuma Proving Ground (YPG).
His previous assignments included Program Director, Family, Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (FMWR) at Sierra Army Depot, California and Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras.
Before arriving at U.S. Army Garrison YPG, he spent his entire 19-year government career in
Army FMWR. His FMWR career consisted of nine years in Child and Youth Service, five years in NAF Support Services, and five years as a Program Director, FMWR. He had two assignments at the IMCOM Directorate level and the rest at the garrison installation.
His government career has taken him to Germany, Kansas, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, North Carolina, Honduras, California, and Arizona.
Mr. Carter attended Montana State University- Billings and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He also received his MBA from University of Phoenix. He completed the Army Civilian Education System Intermediate Course and Advanced Course.
