LTC Stephen N. Doyle

Battalion Commander

 
 

 

LTC Stephen N. Doyle commissioned as an Armor 2LT in 2007 upon graduation from the United Sates Military Academy.  He is a graduate of the Armor Officer Basic Course, Maneuver Captain’s Career Course, Command and General Staff College, School for Advanced Military Studies, and Penn State University earning a Master’s in Arts in Military Operations (SAMS) and a Master’s in Project Management (PSU).

 

LTC Doyle most recently served as the chief of the Army Wargaming Branch in Army Futures Command from July 2022 to April 2025. Before serving in AFC, he served as the Brigade Operations Officer for 1st Brigade, 1st Armored Division, and as the Executive Officer for 6th Squadron 1st Cavalry Regiment at Fort Bliss, Texas from June 2020 to May 2022. Previous to this assignment, LTC Doyle deployed to Kabul, Afghanistan as the CJ5 in support of Operation Resolute Support from June 2019 to June 2020. Prior to attending CGSC, he served on the MCOE CAG and as an instructor at the Army Reconnaissance Course at Fort Benning, GA.

 

Following MCCC, LTC Doyle served as a Squadron Planner and later commanded A Troop and HHT, 1st Squadron 33rd Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) where he deployed to Paktya Province, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from 2012 to 2013. As a lieutenant, LTC Doyle served as an MGS and Scout Platoon in 1st Battalion 23rd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division (SBCT), deploying to Diyala Province, Iraq, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2009-2010.

 

Awards & Decoration include the Bronze Star (1 OLC), the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medals (2 OLC), the Army Commendation Medal (1 OLC) and the Combat Action Badge.  Schools include Ranger, Airborne, and Air Assault.

CSM Sheldon O. Johnson

Command Sergeant Major

 

 

 

CSM Sheldon O. Johnson is a native of Jamaica, raised in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He enlisted in the United States Army in April 2004. He started his inspiring Army career at Fort Knox, Kentucky, where he attended and graduated the M1 Armor Crewman (19K), One Station Unit Training (OSUT).

 

Since that time, CSM Johnson has served his country at duty locations around the world to include Fort Riley, Kansas, Fort Moore, Georgia, Vilseck, Germany, Fort Stewart, Georgia, Iraq, and Afghanistan. While serving in these locations, CSM Johnson has been placed in numerous duty positions such as Tank Driver, Tank Loader, Tank Gunner, Tank Commander, Section Sergeant, Drill Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, Senior Instructor for the Armor Basic Officer Leader Course (ABOLC), President of the Fort Moore Sergeant Audie Murphy Club, Operations NCOIC, First Sergeant, Battalion and Brigade Operations Sergeant Major.​​ CSM Johnson is currently serving as the 3rd Infantry Division Operations Sergeant Major.

 

CSM Johnson’s military and civilian education include: A graduate of the Sergeant Major Academy Class 73, Cavalry Leader’s Course, Common Faculty Development-Instructor Course, Tactical Certification Course, Master Marksmanship Training Course, Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention Program, Equal Opportunity Leaders, Senior Leader Course, Air Assault School, Drill Sergeant School, Advance Leader Course, Combatives Level I, Hazmat Certification Course, Basic Leader Course, and Combat Life Saver Course. CSM Johnson has earned an Associate of Arts Degree from the University of Maryland, a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership and Workforce Development from the Command and General Staff College, and a Master of Science in Management focus in Organization Leadership from Excelsior University.
