
LTC Sean M. Hollars
Battalion Commander
Lieutenant Colonel Hollars received his commission in the Infantry Branch from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2005. He holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Gdansk, Poland while serving as an Army Olmsted Scholar.
Lieutenant Colonel Sean Hollars assumed duties as the Professor of Military Science at Georgia Southern University in April 2022. His most recent assignment was as the Executive Officer to the Commanding General of the 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, GA.
His previous assignments include Brigade Operations Officer, 2ABCT, 3ID; Battalion Operations Officer, 3-15 Infantry Regiment 2ABCT, 3ID; Commander HHC, 2-325 AIR, 2BCT, 82nd ABN; Commander C Company, 2-325 AIR, 2BCT, 82nd ABN; Ranger Instructor, C Company, 6th RTB; BN S1, HHC, 6th RTB; Executive Officer, B Co, 1-27 Infantry Regiment, 2SBCT, 25th ID; and Platoon Leader, A Co, 1-27 Infantry Regiment, 2SBCT, 25th ID.
Lieutenant Colonel Hollars’ deployments include Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Atlantic Resolve.
His military education includes the Infantry Officer Basic Course, Maneuver Captain’s Career Course, and United States Army Command and Staff College.

CSM Joseph C. Cobb
Battalion Command Sergeant Major
Command Sergeant Major Joseph C. Cobb, a native of Seneca, SC, enlisted in the Army June of 2002. Upon completion of Infantry One Station Unit Training (OSUT), Airborne School, and the Ranger Indoctrination program, he was stationed at Fort Benning (now known as Fort Moore 2023), GA as part of 3D Battalion, 75 Ranger Regiment where he served as a Rifleman through Company First Sergeant.
In August of 2018, he transitioned to the 75th Ranger Regiment Headquarters where he served as the Force Modernization NCOIC. In August of 2019, SGM Cobb PCSed to Fort Bliss, TX to attend the Sergeants Major Course. SGM Cobb PCSed to Fort Stewart in July of 2020 to serve as the 3rd Battalion 15th Infantry Regiment Operations Sergeant Major. He has deployed 16 times in support of the Global War on Terror.
CSM Cobb’s military education includes the U. S Army Airborne School, Ranger Indoctrination Program, U.S. Army Ranger School, U.S. Army Air Assault School, U.S. Army Pathfinder School, Basic Leader Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Senior Leader Course, Ranger Assessment and Selection Program 2, Combatives Level 1, the Enterprise Management Course, and the Sergeant Major Course. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership and Workforce Development form the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
