Lt. Col. Andrew Morgan, 1-58th Airfield Operations Battalion
Lt. Col. Andrew Morgan was born in Tallahassee, Florida and entered active duty in 2000 when he enlisted as a CH-47 Heavy Lift Helicopter Repairer. In 2007, he graduated from the United States Military Academy with a Bachelor of Science.
His previous assignments include The U.S. Army Aviation Brigade (TAAB) Executive and Operations Officer; 12th Aviation Battalion (12AB) Executive and Operations Officer; 2-2 Assault Helicopter Battalion (AHB) Operations Officer; Commander, C Co, 12AB; S4, 12AB; S4, 3-25 General Support Aviation Battalion (GSAB); Platoon Leader, A Co, 3-25 GSAB.
His duty locations include Davison Army Airfield (AAF), Virginia; K-16 Airbase, South Korea; Wheeler AAF, Hawaii, with deployments in support of The Kosovo Force (KFOR), Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom.
His military education includes the CH-47 Repairer Course, Initial Entry Rotary Wing Course, Aviation Officer Basic Course, Aviation Captain’s Career Course, UH60 A/L Qualification Course, Basic Airborne Qualification, and the U.S. Army Commanding General Staff College (CGSC). He also earned a Master of Business degree from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University.
His son Henry resides in Leavenworth, Kansas.
