A native of Stone Mountain, Georgia, Mr. Adrian Gamez graduated from North Georgia College and joined the United States Army in 1994 and retired after 23 years of faithful service to our nation in 2017.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Gamez commanded the 302d Brigade Support Battalion, 1 ABCT, 2ID at Camp Casey, Korea. His follow -on and culminating assignment after command, was the Senior Sustainment Observer Coach Trainer (ADLER 07) at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center, Hohenfels, Germany. Upon his retirement, Mr. Gamez became a Department of the Army Civilian and served in Daegu, South Korea with the United States Army Medical Materiel Center, Korea (USAMMC-K). There he served as the Chief of Plans and Operations and the Chief of Staff. Currently, Mr. Gamez is serving as the Deputy to the Garrison Commander at Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA) on the Big Island of Hawaii.
Military Education includes: Combined Logistics Captains Career Course, Support Operations Course, Joint Planners Course, Command and General Staff College, the NATO Staff Officers Course and the Joint Humanitarian Operations Course
Civilian Education includes: The Organizational Leader Development Course, Supervisor Development Course, Management Development Course, Action Officer Development Course, CES Foundation Course and has obtained Equivalent Course Credit for CES Basic, Intermediate, Advanced Courses having completed Intermediate Level Education (CGSC). Mr. Gamez holds a Master’s Degree in Management from Webster University.
Military Awards include: The Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star Medal, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, and the Meritorious Service Medal (4OLC)
Department of the Army Civilian Awards: The Meritorious Civilian Service Medal, the Department of the Army Civilian Achievement Medal (2), the Armed Forces Civilian Service Medal, and was the Recipient of the 2019 Army Materiel Command’s Louis Dellamonica Award for his outstanding work that significantly contributed to AMC's mission, its overarching goals and objectives.
Society of International Engineers (SOLE): Designated as a Demonstrated Master Logistician
Mr. Gamez has been published three times for the Army Sustainment Magazine.
