United States Army Garrison Italy (USAG Italy)
USAG Italy manages the day-to-day operations for installations in the Vicenza Military Community (VMC), including Caserma Ederle, Caserma Del Din, as well as nearby Longare and Camp Darby situated between Pisa and Livorno, Italy. The coordination with our Italian partners makes it possible to support the service members, family members and American and Italian civilian employees who live and work in the Garrison’s area of responsibility.
Caserma Carlo Ederle is the headquarters of U.S. Garrison Italy and U.S. Army Africa (USARAF), also known as Southern European Task Force (SETAF). Caserma Ederle is also the center of the Vicenza Military Community where you’ll find the Commissary, PX, Arts & Crafts Center, Arena, movie theater, and more.
USAG Italy also supports elements of the 173rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), the 21st Theater Sustainment Command-Italy, the 509th Signal Battalion, the U.S. Army Health Clinic Vicenza, the Vicenza Dental Clinic, AFN Radio and Television and other units and organizations.
