COMMAND SGT. MAJ. RICARDO MORENO

CSM Ricardo Moreno is a native of Anasco, Puerto Rico. He enlisted in the United States Army on 13 July 1995. He completed One Station Unit Training at Fort Moore, GA as an Infantryman. During his career, CSM Moreno has served in every leadership position in the Infantry ranging from Riflemen to Battalion Command Sergeant Major.

CSM Moreno’s previous assignments include: 1/75th Ranger Regiment, HAAF, GA; LRSD, 110th MI BN, Fort Drum, NY; 4-31 IN REGT, Fort Drum, NY; 1/507th PIR, Fort Moore, GA; PAT-TAFT Team 3, USASATMO Fort Liberty, NC; Platoon Sergeant for 2/2 CR and Scout Platoon Sergeant for 1/2 CR Vilseck, Germany; Anti-Armor First Sergeant for AT TRP, 4/2 CR and Stryker First Sergeant for B TRP, 1/2 CR, Vilseck, Germany; Intelligence and Sustainment First Sergeant for B CO, HHBN, III Corps and First Sergeant for HSC, HHBN, III Corps, Fort Cavazos, TX; Battalion Operations Sergeant Major for 2-501 PIR, Operations Sergeant Major for 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Liberty, NC, and served as the Battalion Command Sergeant Major for 3-13 IN REGT, Fort Jackson, SC.

CSM Moreno’s military education includes: Basic Leaders Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Senior Leaders Course, graduate of the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy Class 69, Airborne, Ranger Indoctrination Program, NBC Defense Course, Air Assault, Advance Land Navigation, Jumpmaster, Ranger School, Battle Staff, Master Resilience Trainer, Common Faculty Development Instructor Course, BN and BDE Pre-Command Course, BN and BDE Command Sergeant Major Development Course, and Garrison Command Sergeant Major Course. CSM Moreno’s civilian education includes a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts from Excelsior College and a Bachelor of Art in Leadership and Workforce Development from Command General Staff College.

CSM Moreno’s overseas tours are Germany, with deployments to Kosovo in KFOR 3B, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Inherent Resolve.
