Col. Jacy Park
Colonel Jacy Park enlisted in the Army in 1997 and served as the 75H until she received her commission in 2001 from University of Washington. COL Park was assigned to Korea as the Battalion Chemical Officer for 2-2 Air Assault Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division; Platoon Leader and Executive Officer of 62d Chemical Company (Heavy Decon), 23d Chemical Battalion, and as a Brigade Chemical Officer for 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 2d Infantry Division.
Following completion of the Chemical CCC, COL Park was assigned to Fort Polk, LA as the BN S4 for 83rd Chemical Battalion, then as a Company Commander for 51st Chemical Company (Maneuver Support). Following command, she deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom as the NATO Training Mission Afghanistan (NTMA) Liaison Officer, then returned to Fort Polk to serve as the Brigade S5
plans Officer for 1st Maneuver Enhancement Brigade. Upon graduating CGSC, COL Park served as the Battalion S-3 and Executive Chemical Battalion (Technical Escort), Joint Base Lewis WA; Chief of Officer Training Department at US Army Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear School, Fort Leonard Wood, MO; Field Grade Assignment Officer and Executive Officer for the Chemical Branch at Human Resources Command; Professor of Military Science for Florida International University.
After commanding 22d Chemical Battalion in Fort Bliss, IX, she executed her joint assignment in Korea as the Senior CWMD Planner and the Chief, CWMD Joint Interagency Coordination Group (CJIACG-K), US Forces Korea (USFK), Combined Forces Command (CFC), United Nations Command (UNC). Upon returning to CONUS, she attended the Army War College and served as the Chief of Systemic Inspections in the Department of the Army Inspector General Agency, Pentagon, until her selection to command the 48th Chemical Brigade, 20th CBRNE Command in Fort Cavazos, TX.
COL Park's degrees include: a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from University of Washington,
WA, a Master of Science in Environmental Management from Webster University, MO, and a Masters in Strategic Studies at Army War College, Carlisle Barracks, PA.
COL Park's awards include: Defense Superior Service Medal; Defense Meritorious Service Medal; Meritorious Service Medal with (6 OLC); Army Commendation Medal (4OLC); Army Achievement Medal (2OLC); Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Army Reserve Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal; Afghanistan Campaign Medal; Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; Korea Defense Service Medal; Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon (5); and NATO Medal.
