Command Sgt. Maj. Amador Aguillen Jr.

CSM Amador Aguillen Jr. is a native of San Antonio, Texas. He enlisted in the Army, attended Basic Training in Fort Jackson, South Carolina, attended Advanced Individual Training at Fort Lee, Virginia, and was awarded the MOS 92A (Automated Logistician). He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation and Logistics Management from American Military University and a Master’s Degree from the University of Texas at El Paso in Leadership Studies.

He has held a myriad of leadership positions from Team Leader to Battalion Command Sergeant Major. His assignments include 4th Psychological Operations Group (USACAPOC), Fort Bragg, North Carolina; 3d Battalion 58th Aviation Regiment, Ansbach, Germany; 1st Battalion 8th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, Fort Hood, Texas; 3/363 Training Support Battalion 1st Army, 602nd Aviation Support Battalion Combat Aviation Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Humphreys, Korea; United States Army Garrison Stuttgart, Stuttgart, Germany; The US Army Sergeants Major Academy; and 225th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Infantry Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, and 16 Sustainment Brigade, Smith Barracks, Baumholder, Germany. CSM Aguillen’s operation and combat deployments include Hurricane Fran Relief 1996, Operation Joint Endeavor Bosnia 1997, Operation Iraqi Freedom 2004-2005, Hurricane Katrina Relief 2005, Operation Iraqi Freedom 2006-2008, Operation Iraqi Freedom 2009-2010.

CSM Aguillen’s military education includes Airborne School, Primary Leadership and Development Course, Basic Non-Commissioned Officers Course, Advanced Non-Commissioned Officers Course, and U.S. Army First Sergeant Course. He is a graduate of Class 68 of the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy, Joint Logistics Course, Master Resiliency Trainer Course, Observer Controller Trainer Course, Instructor Course, Translator Serbo-Croatian Course, and Jungle School.
