The mission of the Deployment Resource Center is to provide expert guidance and comprehensive support to deploying units, ensuring all vehicles and equipment are prepared, documented, and transported safely, efficiently, and in strict compliance with Defense Transportation Regulations. We are dedicated to ensuring full in-transit visibility and enabling the rapid and successful deployment of forces.

Our vision is to be the leading center of excellence for deployment logistics. We aspire to set the benchmark for operational readiness and innovation in deployment support, empowering our military forces to be fully prepared for any mission, anywhere in the world, at a moment's notice.

Required Shipping Packet Documents:

To ensure the proper shipping of equipment and maintain full in-transit visibility, all deploying units are required to complete a comprehensive shipping packet. This documentation is a Defense Transportation Regulation (DTR) requirement, primarily detailed in Part III (Mobility).

Core Shipping Packet (Required for All Shipments)

Pg. 1: DD 2781 – Container Packing Certificate / Vehicle Packing Declaration (DTR Reference: Part III, Appendix J-22)

Pg. 2: DD 1750 – Packing List (and supplementals as applicable) (DTR Reference: Part III, Page 305-18)

Pg. 3: DA 5748-R or DA 7598 – Shipment Unit Packing List and Load Diagram or Vehicle Load Diagram (DTR Reference: Part III, Page 305-21)

Pg. 4: DA 2404 or DA 5988E – Equipment Inspection and Maintenance Worksheet (Required by Port of Beaumont)

Additional Documentation (As Required)

HAZMAT Shipments: For any equipment classified as Hazardous Material (e.g., non-purged fuelers, Modular Fuel Systems), the following must be included:

  • Pg. 5: DD 2890 – DOD Multimodal Dangerous Goods Declaration (DTR Reference: Part III, Appendix J-23)

  • Pg. 6: ERG – Emergency Response Guidebook (specific page for the hazard)

  • Pg. 7: SDS – Safety Data Sheet (specific section for the hazard)

Sensitive Item Shipments: For any shipment containing Sensitive Items, the following form is required for accountability:
